I'll stamp all over 'serious combatant' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight-round match which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "break" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to build hype for next month's boxing match.

Ex twice world boxing king Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive disparity - at Miami arena on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I'm going to damage his features and damage his physique. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35, stated.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to genuinely try to injure him. That's my intention."

Civil Interaction

In spite of these statements, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally recognized for his theatrics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul instead attacked former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, criticized British rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite saying he intends to punish Paul, Joshua refused to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he stated.

Paul's Background

Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

However, the novice is still one of the sport's biggest commercial attractions, consistently making huge financial rewards.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old anticipated a stoppage in rounds four or five and stated he would derail the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly being planned for 2026.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.

Physical Disparity

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the customary face-off, with their size difference on show, it drove home just how surprising this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is actually happening.
